Since 2013, I have been working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in different capacities to help them find achievable and realistic mechanisms for not only surviving today’s crazy world but also soaring and achieving within themselves. I am a graduate of Notre Dame de Namur’s Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy program, which specializes in art therapy techniques. I offer an abundance of different therapy styles and the flexibility to meet and work with you at whatever you may be. If you enjoy art and the use of art therapy, I can offer this modality in combination with evidence-based therapies, but if that’s not your thing, that’s ok! I am also highly trained in evidence-based therapies, DBT and Narrative Therapy; and offer these as a way to help you accept the things that cannot be changed, as well as, empower you to change the things that allow that.
I bring an authentic and safe space to both online and in-person settings and am experienced with working virtually, in offices, schools, and within the community. I believe strongly in creating a trusting environment, which is fundamental to the foundation of our work together. Whether the problem is depression, anxiety, or a mood disorder, I use a combination of skill-building and processing to help you overcome and grow to where you want to be. Skill-building increases emotional regulation and improves one’s ability to tolerate distress. This process provides the opportunity to create new meaning from life experiences and heal old wounds. I am a Certified Crisis Counselor, and have taken multiple continuing education classes to maintain my cultural competency.
