I am glad you are here. Taking the step to seek psychotherapy can be hard. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming space to adolescents and adults dealing with issues varying from trauma, depression, grief, bipolar, stress due to life transitions, anxiety, OCD, and more. As well, I enjoy working with couples.
I use a person-centered approach to the meet the needs and goals of each client. I utilize therapeutic treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and psycho-education. I strongly believe there is no one size fits all approach. I will always meet you with compassion and understanding with the goal of helping you to find and utilize your strengths and skills to manage life’s challenges and create a healthier life.
With more than 7 years experience in the social work field, I have found a great passion in clinical psychotherapy work. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My focus while in school was domestic violence, teen dating violence, and homelessness. After graduation, I focused on serving the chronically homeless population where I gained experience working with co-occuring substance use, PTSD, and psychosis. After moving to NJ in 2021, I found my passion for private practice. I then became a clinical supervisor in 2022. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatric populations, and couples in community mental health and private practice settings. I am licensed in New Jersey and North Carolina.
