Are you feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with depression, experiencing relationship difficulties, or navigating a challenging life transition? Perhaps you find yourself constantly worrying, feeling emotionally exhausted, or having difficulty managing the demands of everyday life. Whatever challenges you're facing, you don't have to navigate them alone. Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space to better understand your emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and move forward with greater confidence.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of clinical experience, I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal difficulties, and life transitions. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mercyhurst College and my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges, alleviate emotional distress, and develop the tools needed to create meaningful, lasting change.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and OutCare certified in culturally competent care for the LGBTQ+ community. I tailor treatment to each client's individual needs, helping them better understand their thoughts and emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment center, private practice, school-based services, in-home counseling, and nonprofit community mental health centers. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and develop a flexible, individualized approach to therapy.
I believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. I recognize that reaching out for help can feel intimidating, and I strive to make therapy a comfortable and collaborative experience. I find it especially rewarding to witness clients recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and experience personal growth.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I love spending time with family and friends, sharing a good laugh, trying new foods, and continuing to learn new things. I also enjoy traveling, running, hiking, and spending time with my dogs. I believe that connection, laughter, and finding joy in everyday experiences are important parts of emotional well-being.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, navigating difficult relationships, or adjusting to a new chapter in life, my goal is to help you feel supported and empowered. Together, we can develop a greater understanding of your experiences, build practical coping skills, and work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
